R1 Evidence-Based Curriculum Support Tools

At the center of the R1 Learning System are the evidence-based and best practices where the R1 support resources are applied. Each R1 topic module is curated and adapted from the work of experts in a particular field of study. Topics were chosen for their ability to map to leading competency models and existing evidence-based curricula such as the SAMHSA’s TAP 21 publication for Substance Use. the SAMHSA Peer Competencies, ASAM Levels of Care, the MATRIX Model, Living and Balance, and more..

Derived from leading models, and organized into colored categories, each topic module engages, educates, and empowers individuals to concretely process and apply the topic information to their own situations and circumstances. This process of internalizing the information (individual activation) motivates individuals toward change to reach their full potential.
